Open the Start Menu search by
pressing the Windows Key on your keyboard or
clicking on the Windows icon in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen.
Search for “lid”
In the new window, look at the When I close the lid options
Choose how you want the laptop to behave when you close the lid (fold the screen closed).
Click on Save Changes.
Test the new setting. When you close the lid of the laptop, the external monitors should continue to display after a brief re-scaling.
